Abiotic and Biotic

The ocean is made up of tons abiotic and biotic factors. Below is a list of some of the biotic factors in the open ocean:

  • Dolphins
  • Sponges                           
  • Fish
  • Starfish
  • Seaweed
  • Shrimp
  • Sharks
  • Many more!

Here are some of the abiotic factors in this ecosystem:

  • Water
  • Sand
  • Oxygen
  • Waves
  • Rocks


Biotic- Living

Abiotic- Nonliving

All these biotic factors make up the life of the ocean. The abiotic factors make the ocean to where animals and plants can survive. All these factors are very important.
